June 2020 Conference in Bellevue, Washington

CALL FOR ABSTRACTS

The Spring 2020 “When Data Matters” meeting will be held at the Westin hotel in Bellevue, Washington.  The general sessions will cover Friday, Saturday and Sunday morning, May 29-31, 2020.  Medical and indoor professional talks and posters are sought.  Presentations need to be data or reference driven.

We invite you or any of your valued staff to be part of our conference by responding to this Call for Abstracts / Posters.

Send Dr. Scott McMahon your idea for a topic with an abstract or poster using the “Submit Abstract - Part 1” button on this page.

Please also send your bio, CV, head shot, representative bibliography  using the “Upload Required Files - Part 2” button on this page.

Honoraria for speakers will be provided.  A space for posters will be available.  Performance deadlines required to receive honoraria.  Deadlines are needed to pursue the CME credit (ideally 16-18 hours), prepare schedules and smooth video production.

Deadlines

May 31, 2019: Submission of completed abstract and CV   

August 31, 2019: Submission of outline, representative bibliography 

April 30, 2020: Submission of final presentation, full bibliography

Abstract submission will not be considered complete without a brief bio (<300 words), CV, contact info, a recent headshot (300dpi/.jpg file format), bibliography and a summary of the presentation.  The format for your summary is listed below.  The bio will be used to introduce you and your talk at the general session.  Please include a representative bibliography with your outline submission (by August 31, 2019) and a completed bibliography with your final presentation submission (by April 30, 2020).  Incomplete submissions will not be considered for presentation or honoraria.

Format for Abstract

  1.           Title

  2.           Author, co-authors

  3.           Background info, including hypotheses

  4.           Methods

  5.           Results

  6.           Discussion

  7.           One sentence conclusion

  8.           3-5 learning objectives

  9.           400 words maximum

          Abstracts without complete methods will be returned

Presentations will be screened and final choices will be made by June 30, 2019.  Presentations which are not selected for use during the general sessions will automatically be reviewed for the poster sessions.

 Honoraria

For Presentations

  • $500 for each 45-minute talk

  • One night’s hotel stay reimbursed for each presentation given

Conference registration required for honoraria

For the first 15 Posters

  • $250 for each poster presented

  • Conference registration required for honoraria
